Pumpkin Patches and Parks

Above is a picture of us at our Pumpkin Patch in South Pasadena...to the right is a picture of the location...HAHA!! We were tempted to drive an hour to go to a pumpkin patch that included a hayride, petting zoo, and who knows what else, but instead of enduring 2 hours of torture in the car with Nathan and spending an arm and a leg on gas, we settled for walking down to the corner of Mission and Fremont to our neighborhood Pumpkin Patch (If you can even really call it a patch??) We did have fun picking our pumpkin. It took about 2 minutes. We had fun. And since it was such a HOT day, we decided to go to the park later where Nathan tried out the slide, all by himself!

Birthday Lunch

So, we normally have playgroup on Tuesday's, but since my birthday was on Sunday, we decided to go out to lunch to celebrate! We had a short playgroup and then headed to Souplantation. Not my typical choice when I think of going out, but it was delicious! Their BBQ chicken focaccia was delicious, and their little chocolate brownies are amazing! Plus all the salads and soups were good too. I just love pigging out! :)

Our Wonderful Pool

They emptied our pool for some "routine" maintenance and I thought we would take the opportunity for some interesting pictures. John thought this was pretty stupid, but I thought it was great!

Wicked

John surprised me last night with tickets to Wicked for my birthday! We were in the 5th row, center stage!! Our seats were amazing, the cast was amazing, it was so much fun. Of course, I didn't take my camera, so we couldn't get a cool picture outside of Pantages Theater, but I made John take one with me when we got home! I would definitely recommend this musical to anyone!

Getty Museum

Nathan and I went to the Getty Museum on Wednesday! We went with the USC Dental Spouse Club; there were quite a few little kids! I actually did not even step inside a building to look at art. But Nathan did like the "family room" building so that he could crawl around a little. The Gardens were very pretty, and the view of Los Angeles was amazing.

Here is Nathan in the family room area, playing in the bed with books, and the other artistic things (notice I am not an art connoisseur, oh well).

Friends

We had a little playgroup with a few kids on the block...they were all pretty exhausted with playing by the time we got around to taking this picture. They had fun (I think) with only a few minor injuries! Nathan wanted to steal his toys from them, he really needs to learn how to share!! :) There will be many more playgroups in the future to hopefully master this skill.

Hip Hop

So here we are (Laisa, Stacey, Ashley, Alyssa, and myself), posing with Shane Sparks after our hip hop dance class in North Hollywood. We all had a great time, I looked like a silly white girl, but hey, I had fun! Let's just say I had never danced hip hop like THAT before! :)

And of course, I had to pose in some awkward position for a picture as we were leaving...

Injury

So, although Nathan wouldn't pose for a pic, you can see that his whole left hand and half of his arm are wrapped up. Yes, I cut his index finger while I was trying to cut his fingernails. It was bleeding pretty bad, I felt bad, and I couldn't corral him long enough to put pressure on it. So, I had to call my neighbor to come help me hold him down. We finally got it done, and after only one day, we don't need any more bandages! Yea! I thought it might slow him down a little bit, but he just kept right on moving!!
