What to buy?!?!

As I keep seeing all the wonderful things that people are doing with their economic stimulus checks, I can't help but be a little jealous. Although we didn't get a check, before we moved, we had a little yard sale and I was busy on Craigslist trying to sell things like bookcases and whatever. After all was said and done, I had a pretty good chunk of money to spend on new things for our house...however that money sure goes fast when you have to buy a million dumb things. Anyways, I'm down to my last couple hundred dollars...and I am debating on what I want to buy...I really think a bike and bike trailer would be fun since we can't really walk to anything anymore, but things are definitely close enough to ride a bike to. I also want some little patio chairs for our front porch...you know to sip lemonade on a warm summer night(if the warmth ever gets here! it was 46 degrees at noon today!). And finally, I want a Grill. It would be so great to have a nice steak cooked on a grill! Since loans aren't due for a few months...maybe I can convince John to splurge? Haha, not likely! Oh well, I guess we can't have everything right away. What do you think I should get with my remaining money?? By the way, once I get things a little more organized, I will put up pics of the house!

Well we have a cheap $100 grill from Lowe's and it works great. I am not sure what you were thinking about, but a gas grill is so nice to have, I think. I also have a double bike trailer (it can also be used for one child) which I love and a bike. If you do get one I highly recommend the kidaroos brand that is a double bike trailer/stoller, it is from Costco and is wonderful! I got my bike which was used, but only a couple times off of craigslist for like $30. Of course I don't use it much anymore cuz I am too large and pregnant to be trying to ride a bike. Well, that is my opinions on things. I hope all is well with the new place. If you have any questions about anything let me know.

Hey guys, I know how you feel. Sad that dumb things like windex and toilet plungers suck away all the money so fast. I say get a grill and patio set on craigs list. We bought an almost new grill on KSL.com (only in Utah) for $50. You might want to try a friend's bike trailer first to see if he likes it. Mateo wouldn't sit in it until recently. Now he loves it. We have the one from Costco too. (have your parents and in-laws go in together on that one for a present so you don't have to fork over tha cash right now.) Good luck with getting unpacked.

When we get our money (still waiting), it will not be going for anything fun either. But it WILL pay off a loan! Yippee!

We went the bike trailer route, and I think we'll have a lot of fun with it. Joy seems pretty content to ride along in it, especially since it magically transports her to parks and other fun places.
