A Fairly Close Call

We live just south of the Coeur d'Alene, ID, airport. It hasn't been too bad because mostly small private planes and jets fly in and out of there. (Spokane International Airport is a 30-40 minute drive from here). This morning as a plane flew overhead I thought, "A plane could totally crash into our house!" Later today I read this news about a plane crash about 300 yards from us. Check out this map to see how close it was to our house! Maybe we should move?

Work?!?!

So, on Tuesday, I started my 80-hour preceptorship at the hospital here in Coeur d'Alene. I am doing this to get my Idaho RN license. I was amazingly emotional after leaving Nathan that whole day. I had to be there again on Wednesday, and by Thursday morning, Nathan was quite mad at me. It made me feel terrible! So, I have 4 more full 12 hour days, and one 8 hour day. Wish me luck!

My Garden

Since it's the first year that we have had a garden, I am pretty darn proud of what has come out of it. We started reaping the benefits with zuchinni and some peas a few weeks ago. We got our first tomatoes earlier this week. As you can see from the pictures, we have some pumpkins growing, I probably have about 10-15 right now. I am excited to see how many we'll get and how big they will be. Stay tuned!

Taking time to smell the flowers :)

Waiting outside of the Temple in Boise for my cousin Brian and his new bride Whitney to come out. I just think he's so cute!

Riding the Combine with Grandpa Jemmett

I know Nathan looks really out of it, and even my Dad looks a little mad--but we really had fun riding on the Combine. Nathan liked watching the grain get "eaten" up and then pour into the holding bin. It was another fun day on the farm!

Breaking Dawn

I finished the book yesterday morning, and I must say that I thought it was great. Yay for good books! Now I just have to go through and read them all over again...:)

Fun in the Park

Just a few shots playing in the park with cousin Ayden and Mom and Dad. Yay for swings and slides!

Breaking Dawn Release...

Here I am with my Sister-in-law Xan and two of her friends from her ward at Barnes and Noble for the Breaking Dawn Release...and yes, we are in prom dresses!!! I just started reading the book tonight, I'll probably have it finished by Tuesday. We'll see, but we had a lot of fun just talking with all the girls and being crazy without kids. Thanks all you husbands for staying home alone on a Friday night!! We had a blast! Xan got about a million compliments on her dress that she borrowed from one of the Young Women in her ward, it was pretty funny, she had at least 3 people that wanted pictures of her in it too! :) Love you Xan! Along with the night came a costume contest, and for some odd reason I was handed some Red Hots, I don't know why, but I will say that I won a portion of that contest (maybe cause with my short hair all spiked up in the back I looked like Alice?). Wahoo! :)
